56/39 dulux on the hotplate, melt lead in the spear molding and shove her thru to straighten, why in the hell the old guy that taught me most, sanded with
white gas(!) is beyond me.... Centauri with the little 'wait lifter' guy on the label, martin seynor 1st attempt at acrylic enamel.... Lucite was 3.60
per pint, mid cost colors--- Adjusters and my self handled matters w/a phone call, fuzzy polaroid, and a handshake of 'handled', and all was good--
I'm so sick of today I could just sh-t........

34/technically 3 years body shop and 12 years towing
been doing body paint work since 93 and been around the towing most of my life |

54 years old / 30 + in ,body & paint business for myself. I am second generation bodyman, started in this trade with my father when I was ten years old working summers & saturdays in local pontiac dealership. Talking about the old days the young guys don't know what you are talking about. Ducco, Lucite, Dulux, heck I remember the first acrylic enamel my father used seams like the late sixties or early seventys. My dad said he used the first bondo in our area , till then it was just lead.
