"Imagine small, nimble electric vehicles that know where other moving objects are and avoid running into them," said Larry Burns, GM vice president
of research and development. "Now, connect those vehicles in an Internet-like web and you can greatly enhance the ability of people to move through
cities, find places to park and connect to their social and business networks."

"Among the innovations would be use of the sort of vehicle-to-vehicle communications systems that GM has pioneered. Such technology could ultimately
enable vehicles that don't crash and drive themselves."

Has any of your shops recieved a phone call from a place called Employee Discount club? The offer up to 8 cars a month with jobs that range between $1500 and
$3000.00. They say you will have a 50 mile radius. The kicker is they want $589.00 for a 24 month term. So your buying in for the business. Does this smell
like a scam to anyone else? He wants to send UPS out to pick up a form he has faxed with a signature and a post dated check for the amount. Saying he will
give us a month to try it out. It all just seems odd to me. Anyone elses thoughts?

A lot teeming with cars, trucks and SUVs is something car dealerships dread and repair shops pine for. And so it goes in early 2009 for the automotive
industry.

Travis Butler, who owns Butler's Automotive on Lumpkin Street near the University of Georgia campus, is the happy recipient of ramped-up commerce, as
people seek to eschew new automobile payments by trying to get another year (or two) out of their existing rides.

"We're pretty much staying busy," said Butler, who's been in business for six years. "From September until the first part of
December, we'd actually slowed down some. We're kind of back to normal now and are a little busier than we were this time last year. It's due from
people trying...
